Silo System Norden AB is a continuation of the development and production of flour silos that started in the early 70s at 2E Ellgaard Equipment in Rödkaersbro, Denmark. There, the technology for storing, dosing and weighing raw materials for the food industry was developed and refined for more than 40 years. In the early 2000s, the part of 2E that manufactured equipment for raw material handling was spun off to streamline the rest of the business. The new name then became Silo System ApS, which was continued by former employees from 2E Ellgard Equipment. Since spring 2016, the head office is located in Borås, Sweden and the legal name is Silo System Norden AB.

Production is still located in Rödkaersbro, Denmark with the same employees as before.
